Hampton Designer Showhouse – Bedroom III

ARDEN Interior Architecture & Design was selected as one of the country’s most notable interior designers to create a Bedroom for the 2010 Traditional Home – Hampton Designer Showhouse.  Celebrating its Tenth Anniversary, this year’s Showhouse is a charming shingle-style home located in Sag Harbor, New York. The proceeds from the Showhouse support the Southampton Hospital.

Interior designer Arden Stephenson applies her expertly trained eye to deliver a bedroom where portion, form, texture and light are all at play.  With a palette drawn from the natural beauty of the sun and sea, Arden uses turquoise, blues and golden yellows to create an inviting beach retreat with a punch! 

Incorporating the mid-century modern of the 1940’s sofa with the Maison Jansen lucite writing table with the contemporary steel painted coffee table, the new linen-wrapped end tables, custom printed fabric and upholstered headboards (custom designed by ARDEN), this seemingly eclectic mixture is completely in sync.   Set off on against the modern Florence Boradhurst rug, Arden successfully uses a mixture of finishes and natural materials with accents of silver, lacquer, metal and cerused oak to complete this happy yet serene room.
